Tom Post’s love for art goes back to his earliest childhood memories. At the age of 5 he took inspiration from the Sunday comics like Charlie Brown and Beetle Bailey. Later, it came from Disney and the Hanna Barbera Characters. In his high school years, inspiration came from the movies. By the age of 17 he was creating 12’ window graphics for the theatre to promote their current movies like Star Wars, ET and Creep Show.
He has a BFA in fine arts from the Columbus College of Art and Design and has been a freelance illustrator since 1987. His clients include P&G, Chiquita, and Krogers along with numerous agencies throughout the Cincinnati and Chicago area. His portfolio includes package illustrations for Old Spice, branding art for Warped Wing and MadTree, and TV storyboarding for Airheads Candy to name a few.
When he’s not telling a story for his clients, he’s pushing himself in his fine arts telling his own story.
He resides in Cincinnati, Ohio with his high school sweet heart, Ann and their two beautiful children.
His art can be seen at the Raymond Art Gallery in Hyde Park and Green Acres in Indian Hill.
